When one of the horses, Sox, simply refused to walk past a certain spot where there are especially large tree
stumps left from the clear-cutting many years ago, it created quite a dilemma.
Being that Sox is the herd leader meant that all the other equines followed her example and went only so far, not a step further. Well, this limited the horses' roaming grounds considerably. What to do?
Grace McKnight was called to come to the rescue! Grace spent several hours walking the property and clearing the energy. Walking with her, I can only testify to the tremendous energy which goes into this process - and to the power of the energy that is set free.
One of Grace's comments was: "The horses are here to heal this land!" And so they are! Today, everyone happily grazes and walks everywhere. The old trees have found peace and can now let go of their 'arboreal pain,' allowing new growth to re-energize the land.
It is our vision to continue, gently and respectfully, working with the land as our partner in an effort to create mutual healing spaces. As there will be no machines used, it is literally a "hands-on" process to create these spaces.
Volunteers are always welcome - please contact the farm.
You do not need to be a horseback rider in order to benefit from the company of horses. Some people feel drawn to the animal rather than the sport. And most horse people have experienced these powerful moments when just to be in the presence of pure horse energy creates a feeling of well being.
There are many horses out there who cannot be ridden due to physical problems or age. They make wonderful companions and, in their unfiltered honesty, they still have something to teach us - if we want to hear, feel, and listen.
The websites below have been chosen because the services they provide are akin to our philosophy on
Life and Living. Watch for our additions to the list!

Story of Stuff |
The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at
the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge
number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world.
It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life
forever.
