At NoRush Farm, we pair equines (horses, mules, donkeys) and people to foster personal growth and learning in a safe, but challenging environment.
All our EAL work is done on the ground, there is no riding involved.

Being with horses can help us confront and overcome our perceived limitations, anxieties, habitual patterns and blocked emotions. |
Why horses?Equines are very similar to humans in their personalities and social behavior. They have defined roles within their herds (families) and feel most comfortable among their peers. They have distinct personalities, moods and attitudes. They can be affectionate, defiant, and like to have fun. Sound familiar? Equines are always honest! They show no outward behavior which does not agree with the way they feel. There is no filter, no hidden agenda, no pretense, only complete and direct honesty. Indeed, their wisdom lies in their reliance on inner knowing and being able to read the subtlest cues. And, they are effective communicatorsThis makes them such good teachers for us. They mirror exactly what the human body language is telling them. |

"Can you imagine gently moving a 1,200 pound animal backwards with little more than
your intention? I couldn't. In fact, I was quite intimidated, but I did it and not
just once, and not just with one horse, but several. It was very empowering and
insightful for the issue I was working with. When it came to another exercise I couldn't
get them to budge, but experienced even more pertinent learning.
"How does a horse tell you to relax, back off, take a different route? They might just
lie down and roll right over right in front of you! I got the message and let go of one
work goal that was unexpectedly replaced by another more suitable one. Pretty cool eh?
With gratitude,"

NoRush Farm strives to provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for personal, professional and organizational development or just a fun time to play and learn with a mule, a donkey and two horses.
